Forty-second Annual Meeting

February 29 - March 2, 2012 in Columbia, South Carolina

The conference will be hosted in the newly-built and elegent Hilton Columbia Center, located less than two blocks from the South Carolina State House, and only four blocks from the University of South Carolina, in the middle of the downtown historic district. Submissions

The Final 2012 Call for Papers: The deadline for non-student papers and special session proprosals has been changed to October 23, 2011. Submission Information and Paper Upload Advice is available.

All submissions take place through the Conference Management System

Note: All papers are subject to a double blind review process.

Session Chairs and Reviewers will be needed for the 2012 Conference.

You can volunteer now as a reviewer, session chair, track chair or discussant for the 2012 SE DSI meeting.

Students

Student paper competition:
This year's student paper competition will be divided into three separate tracks: Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD, and the quality of submissions will be judged only with respect to other papers in a given track.
Students should upload their paper through the online Conference Management System and furthermore identify the track to which their paper belongs by including the appropriate header within their actual submission:

     SEDSI 2012 - Undergraduate student competition,
     SEDSI 2012 - Masters student competition, or
     SEDSI 2012 - PhD student competition.

The final extended deadline for student paper submissions is November 4th, 2011.  This supersedes all previous deadlines.  All papers must be received by 11:59 pm on that date in order to be considered for the student paper competition in any of the three categories.

Undergraduate poster session:
Due to the success of last year's event, SE DSI will once again be sponsoring a special undergraduate student poster session in conjunction with the 2012 meeting.
Accepted submissions will be invited to share their work as part of the President's reception on Thursday evening.
